Under the multi-annual Rural Water Programme 2019-2021, supports have been introduced under Measure 1 for group water schemes wishing to enhance the protection of their raw water sources. Building on the previous RWP's grant aid under a sub-measure towards the delineation of GWS source catchments/zone of contribution, the new programme's dedicated measure aims to protect human and environmental health by preventing source pollution whether as a result of human action or natural causes.
