The winter 2023 edition of Rural Water News is now available to read online. In this issue, there is coverage of our recent trip to European Parliament in Brussels, where we were invited to share the great work of the GWS sector. The new issue discusses the findings of the EPA Drinking Water Quality in Private Group Schemes and Small Private Supplies 2022 report and the need for urgent action to address non-compliances on a small number of group water schemes.
Other topics covered in the magazine include the close of the ground-breaking, interdepartmental-funded, integrated source protection planning and mitigation actions project, the recent NFGWS workshops on GWS governance, the Orchards for Farmers launch and much more.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the NFGWS's registration as a co-operative. Presently, the NFGWS is engaged in producing a documentary video that highlights the sector's accomplishments since 1998. This edition of Rural Water News provides a sneak peek into the documentary, featuring a special piece, based on interviews conducted for the project.
