The Summer 2023 edition of Rural Water News is now available to read online. The latest edition provides an update on work to prepare the application framework for the upcoming Multi-annual Rural Water Programme.
There has been some positive news for the GWS sector of late, with the NFGWS securing funding from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage for the installation of drinking water refill stations on networks around the country. The extension of DBO contracts for GWSs in the Monaghan DBO bundle will ensure continued potable supply to members during the DBO review process, while the sector will also welcome the government’s announcement of a new €60m water quality project.
