Management Training Programmes for Group Water Scheme Directors
Developed by the Irish Co-operative Organisation Society (ICOS) in conjunction with the NFGWS, this course is designed to improve the managerial capacity of voluntary boards of management/committees of group water schemes and to make them aware of their legal responsibilities. While focusing specifically on the management of GWS co-operatives, several of its modules are applicable to the management of all group water schemes regardless of corporate status.
It covers issues such as strategic planning, understanding basic accounts & financial information, employment legislation, leadership and communications and approaches to sustainable organisation and structure.
The course can be delivered over several evenings, or at a 1-day sitting.
