The GWS capital funding stream under the Multi-Annual Rural Water Programme for 2019-2021 was announced by Minister Eoghan Murphy on Friday 8th February 2019 (see press release link below). The objectives for this cycle is to provide enhanced funding certainty for capital upgrades and to support the implementation of proper planning and sustainable development of drinking water services in rural areas. The 2019 -2021 funding cycle of the multi-annual programme consists of 8 Measures that reflect the key challenges facing the rural water sector.
