Speaking directly the closing address, CEO Barry Deane described the Webinar as a ‘resounding success’. “NFGWS offices have been inundated with text messages, emails and phone calls since the 2-day Webinar kicked off yesterday morning, complementing the format, content and professional nature of the event.” The webinar was held over two days from 9.30 to 1pm on the 9th and 10th September as part of ‘Rural Water Week’.
The traditional rural water conference is normally held on the second Thursday in September, but this year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the event had to be cancelled and the NFGWS decided to run an online webinar instead. “I’m extremely proud of our staff who all played a critical role in organising, producing and presenting this event. Everything was done in house and we are extremely fortunate to have such a talented and enthusiastic team”. Over 200 attendees tuned into the webinar each day, with people continuing to register right up to the last day of the event. All presentations from the webinar will be available to view on the NFGWS website from Monday the 14th September.
